Behind Enemy Lines

How about those Blue Jay bats? Crushing Yankee pitching to the tune of 16 runs and handling our over, all by themselves! That brings us close to the .500 mark again and we’re feeling ready to break out! Maybe that’s why we like the Dodgers over the Diamondbacks tonight. The blue-crew seemed to brake out just before the all-star hiatus winning four straight for the first time this season. They send all-star Clayton Kershaw to the hill who has been just filthy as of late. The lefty has won all four starts against Arizona since 2010 and only surrendered one run in his last 20 and 2/3rds innings facing the D-backs. In that stretch both Stephen Drew and Justin Upton are a combined 1 for 24 with 11 strikeouts against the Dodgers ace. Arizona counters with a solid Joe Saunders who is trying to win a fourth straight decision. But Andre Ethier will be waiting! The Dodgers right-fielder is hitting .379 with three homers in his last 14 games at Chase Field. The number is a modest -125 for Kershaw so jump on it!
